Landers are an experimental rock band from Europe, formed at the end of 2018. The band is focused around its creative centre, Irish songwriter and vocalist/guitarist Christopher Colm Morrin and also consists of Paul Breiting (bass, upright bass) and Max von der Goltz (drums, percussion).
After Morrin did a solo tour of Germany and a solo performance at The National Concert Hall, Ireland, in November 2018, he decided it would be best to form a band around the songs going forward. The band had there very first rehearsal on New Years Eve of 2018. Morrin passed on more material over the coming months to the rest of the band to work with. In March 2019, they decided to record their songs over a period of 5 days, which has now evolved into an upcoming debut studio record that looks to be released in Spring 2020.
Morrin’s previous solo album was released to much critical acclaim and he recently co-wrote original music for the soundtrack of the film THE IMAGE YOU MISSED which was awarded the prize for Original Music at Cinéma du Réel in the Centre Pompidou in Paris. A selection of Morrin’s poetry and artwork entitled ‚Poems & Drawings‘ has just been published also.
